Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a Site Security Representative to implement the Corporate Security Policy at the manufacturing site, supporting the Plant Manager and Corporate Security on physical security, governance, crisis readiness, and on-ground security operations.

You will oversee CCTV, access controls, audits, roster planning, and documentation, while coordinating with vendors, leading a security team, and ensuring readiness for audits and emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree required.
  • 3–5 years of industrial/manufacturing security experience.
  • Experience in team handling, vendor management, roster planning, and compliance documentation.
  • CPP/CPO/BCP certifications preferred but optional.
  • Defense services background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily physical security operations including access control, surveillance monitoring, patrols, and incident response.
  • Ensure maximum uptime of security infrastructure (CCTV, access control, alarms, IR sensors).
  • Manage end-to-end roster planning, shift scheduling, and deployment; maintain security team documentation.
  • Submit documents nearing expiry one month in advance for review; maintain version control.
  • Maintain ERP and BCP; ensure cross-functional alignment and readiness.
  • Support Crisis Management Exercises and keep escalation procedures updated.
  • Assist audits by ensuring documents and processes are audit-ready; close findings within timelines.
  • Participate in Jour Fixe meetings; liaise between Corporate Security, plant management, and other departments.

General Information

The Site Security Representative ensures implementation of the Corporate Security Policy at the manufacturing site. The role supports the Plant Manager and Corporate Security on all matters related to physical security, compliance, documentation governance, crisis readiness, and on-ground security operations.

Your Key Responsibilities
Physical Security Management
  • Oversee daily physical security operations including access control, surveillance monitoring, patrols, and incident response.
  • Ensure maximum uptime of security infrastructure (CCTV, access control, alarms, IR sensors).
  • Monitor vendor performance, SLAs, and AMC activities.
Operational Support to Security Team
  • Manage end-to-end roster planning, shift scheduling, and deployment.
  • Maintain security team documentation including attendance, duty rosters, and deployment logs.
  • Address grievances and welfare issues of the security staff in coordination with vendor supervisors.
  • Ensure manpower discipline and operational readiness.
Document Management & Compliance
  • Ensure all security documents remain updated and compliant with policy.
  • Submit documents nearing expiry one month in advance to Corporate Security for review.
  • Maintain version control and implement only approved documents.
Documents Linked to Security Governance
  • Maintain and update Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and readiness.
Crisis Management
  • Support Crisis Management Exercises (CME) every 3 years, extendable to 5 years if tested by real events.
  • Keep crisis roles, contacts, and escalation procedures updated.
Audit Readiness
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring documents and processes are audit-ready.
  • Track and close audit findings within defined timelines.
Coordination & Issue Resolution
  • Participate in bi-monthly Jour Fixe meetings for clarifications, issue escalation, and updates.
  • Act as liaison between Corporate Security, plant management, and other departments.
Requirements Indicated By Corporate Security Policy
  • Implementation of the Site Security Concept after consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Regular review of the Site Security Concept.
  • Implementation of defined site security measures and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Incident reporting as per corporate standards.
  • Promoting on-site security awareness.
  • Taking over any additional security-related tasks assigned by the Site Security Manager or Regional Security Manager.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Ensure 100% of security documents (i.e., Site Security Concepts, BCPs, Contingency Plans, ERPs) are reviewed by their annual deadline in accordance with policy requirements (Globally cascaded KPI for SSR)

  • ≥ 98% uptime of security systems.
  • 100% updated and compliant documentation.
  • Zero roster-related post gaps.
  • 100% audit findings closed within timelines.
  • ERP/BCP updated annually or as required.
  • Crisis Management Exercise executed within required cycle.
  • Vendor SLA adherence ≥ 95%.
  • Security incident reports submitted within 24 hours.
Your Qualifications
  • Graduate degree.
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing security operations.
  • Experience in team handling, vendor management, roster planning, and compliance documentation.
  • Certifications (CPP/CPO/BCP) preferred but optional.
  • Candidate from Defense services background is preferred
