Job summary

NCR Voyix Corporation in Chennai is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer (II) to design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure for our global platforms. You will collaborate with development and operations to enhance reliability and efficiency across cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in DevOps/SRE, strong scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and hands-on experience with Azure and GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT.
• 3–6 years in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on with Azure and GCP.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dev Ops Engineer (II) to join our dynamic team at NCR VOYIX Corporation. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration between development and operations teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision and configure cloud resources (, Azure, GCP).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize reliability, availability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, security scanning, and deployment processes into the CI/CD workflow.
• Manage and administer containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration platforms.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical production systems.
• Automate routine tasks and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the selection and evaluation of new technologies and tools to enhance our DevOps capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and company policies.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure & GCP).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and database systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
