Job summary

Global Business Ser. 4u is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a 12-month contract in Gurgaon (Night shift, IST). You will lead cloud-first infrastructure design, automate operations, and manage global production environments on AWS.

You will mentor juniors, build scalable pipelines, and implement observability and security for high-volume services. Strong experience in CI/CD, Kubernetes, and IaC is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Linux/UNIX system administration.
• Strong AWS/cloud infra experience with production workloads.
• Experience with IAC tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
• Kubernetes and microservice architectures experience.
• Observability tooling (NewRelic, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Security principles in automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead as a technical owner on cloud-first projects.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive refinement of initiatives.
• Automate with code to minimize manual interventions.
• Build and maintain production infra on AWS.
• Design pipelines to scale and deploy globally.
• Analyze complex system behavior and performance issues.
• Develop observability, alerts, and runbooks.
• Capacity planning, traffic routing, and security policies for SSO apps.
• Participate in on-call rotation (8h/7d) with follow-the-sun model.
• Work with CI/CD and IaC tooling to improve release velocity.
• Collaborate with cross-team members on operational reviews.
• Ensure reliability and performance of high-volume services.

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

Job type- 12 months Contract

Location- Gurgaon

Timings - 7pm to 4am IST - complete night shift

Job Description

Serve as a technical lead on projects with a cloud first mindset. Design infrastructure solutions for the future.

• Collaborate as a member of our operational review board with other senior SRE members to establish proper refinement of project initiatives, both internal and cross team.


• Mentor team members, be the senior you needed when you were a junior engineer.


• Automate everything, remove human intervention as much as possible.


• Build via code and maintain our production infrastructure hosted on AWS.


• Design and build pipelines to scale, deploy and manage global infrastructure.


• Analyze complex system behavior, performance and application issues.


• Develop observability, alerts and runbooks


• Capacity analysis and planning, traffic routing, and security policies for Ping's market leading Single Sign-On SaaS applications.


• This position is part of an on-call rotation of 8 hours by 7 days a week with a follow the sun model.


• 7+ years Amazon Web Services (AWS).


• Experience provisioning large cloud environments using IAC tools such as CloudFormation and - Terraform.


• Experience with CI/CD automation tooling such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD etc.


• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservice architectures


• Solid experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet/Chef/Salt.


• Building pipelines using GitOps methodologies, ChatOps, etc...


• Experience with observability tooling such as NewRelic, Grafana and Cloudwatch.


• 7+ years experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration.


• Experience with security design principles and implementing them in the automation workflows.


• Solid coding/scripting skills (Python/Ruby/Go/Bash).


• Networking experience in large cloud environments


• Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
