Job summary

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) is seeking an Engineer - Maintenance (BOP) to lead maintenance, operation and optimization of Balance of Plant systems at our renewable energy plant in Gujarat. You will ensure safe operation of transformers, switchgear and related equipment, and drive reliability through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering or related field, with MBA preferred, and 15+ years in techno-commercial/procurement within energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant discipline preferred.
• Professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related areas (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPIM).
• 15+ years of experience in techno-commercial and procurement roles within the renewable energy, power or infrastructure sector.
• Proven track record of leading techno-commercial functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic procurement and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead techno-commercial planning and execution, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with design and site teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
• Manage cross-functional teams and facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, and operations.
• Conduct regular meetings to monitor progress and address challenges.
• Align technical execution with project goals and sustainability objectives.
• Monitor project costs related to technical execution, ensuring alignment with budget and profitability targets.
• Support cost optimization through efficient resource utilization.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Foresee, identify and mitigate risks in TC processes that may impact project delivery.
• Develop contingency plans and monitor risk indicators throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to technical execution.
• Liaise with authorities and maintain documentation for audits and approvals.

Job Purpose: Engineer - Maintenance (BOP) is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and optimization of all Balance of Plant (BOP) systems in a renewable energy plant, including mechanical, electrical, and civil components. This role ensures the efficient and safe operation of auxiliary systems such as transformers, switchgear, and other BOP equipment. The Engineer performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensures compliance with safety standards while contributing to overall plant performance and reliability.
