Job summary

SYSTRA India invites applications for the role of Site Engineer-QA/QC-2 for the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project. The position is site-based and focuses on QA/QC activities during construction, reporting to the PD/Client NHSRCL.

Ideal candidates hold BE/B.Tech or Diploma with 5–7 years QA/QC experience in rail projects, and familiar with QA/QC plans, inspections, and statutory approvals.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with 5–7 years QA/QC experience in rail-based transit construction.
• Experience with high-speed/metro rail projects preferred.
• Knowledge of QA/QC plans, inspections, and compliance with funding agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist QA/QC Expert in reviewing QA/QC plans for project packages.
• Assist in monitoring QA/QC plans of other contractors.
• Assist in establishing standard QA/QC procedures and tools.
• Assist in compliance with funding agency requirements.
• Assist NHSRCL in obtaining statutory approvals.
• Assist in performing contractor inspections.
• Assist Section Engineer in assigned works.

Hiring for Project Management Consultancy Services for Works of Signalling & Telecommunication System, SCADA System, and Ticketing System of Mumbai – Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project

Location: Site

Missions/Main Duties

• Assist QA/QC Expert in performing tasks that includes following but are not limited to:
• Assist in reviewing of detailed Quality Assurance(QA) and Quality Control (QC) Plans and implementation in the entire project phases for the packages under its scope.
• Assist in reviewing and monitoring QA/QC plans of other Contractors(as applicable).
• Assist in establishing standard procedures & tools for QA/QC.
• Assist in compliance of the requirements of multilateral /bilateral funding agencies (as applicable).
• Assist NHSRCL in obtaining statutory approvals (as applicable).
• Assist in carrying out inspections of contractor’s works.
• Assist in any other roles and responsibilities required to be performed to complete the project and assigned by the PD/Client(NHSRCL).
• Assist Section Engineer in their assigned works.

Profile/Skills

Min. Qualification and Experience: Engineering Graduate (B.E/B.Tech)/Diploma Engineering Graduate with 05 years, or Engineering Diploma with 07 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) /Quality Control (QC) during construction phase in Railbased Transit System project(s)*.

• Rail-based Transit System project(s) shall mean High-Speed Railways / Semi High-Speed Railways / Metro Railways projects as defined below:
• High-Speed Railways projects (ETCS based) with operational speed equal or greater than 250 Kmph shall only be considered for evaluation.
• Semi High-Speed Railways including Urban/Suburban/ Intercity/ Regional Passenger Transit Systems, projects with operational speed equal to or greater than 160 Kmph shall only be considered for evaluation.
• Metro Railways excluding LRT/Tram/Monorail Systems, projects shall only be considered for evaluation.
