Site Engineer

Location: Mumbai

Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as the main technical adviser on the construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
• Set out building layouts, mark different levels, and conduct detailed site surveys.
• Review plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure calculation accuracy.
• Ensure materials used and work performed comply with project specifications.
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials.
• Negotiate prices and provide cost-effective material solutions for the project.
• Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents provided by the client or architect.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, surveyors), attending regular meetings to update on progress.
• Handle day-to-day site management, including supervising and monitoring the labour force and subcontractors.
• Plan and efficiently organise the RMC plant and site facilities to meet project deadlines.
• Oversee quality control and enforce health & safety standards on-site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports as required.
• Resolve unexpected technical issues or operational challenges.
• Prepare logistics plans for materials and manpower.
• Ensure timely completion of the project as per agreed schedules.
• Attend on-site meetings, inspections, or project-related events.
