Qualifications

  • Experience with SIS design in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Analyze customer inputs and understand requirements such as Design Specifications, P&IDs, Control Narratives, IO list, Instrument Index, Operating Philosophies, Cause & effect diagrams, FGS layouts, etc.
  • Follow Emerson’s FSM process and maintain all SIS-related documentation of the assigned activities as per safety lifecycle requirements.
  • Verify compliance with IEC61511/other standards as per assigned scope in the project.
  • Raise Technical Queries.
  • Develop Safety System Software Design.
  • Perform I/O to Safety Logic Solver Assignment.
  • Define Software Concepts.
  • Define third-party interfaces (e.g., Addressable FGS).
  • Develop Software library (Logic as well as graphics).
  • Develop project-specific Software typicals.
  • Perform Software Typical Testing.
  • Design & Develop I/O & SIS modules.
  • Develop ESD, FGS, BMS (Burner Management System) logic.
  • Develop graphics based on Cause & Effect, FGS layout files.
  • Develop Third-party interface database/modules.
  • Create Internal test plan.
  • Perform Internal software testing.
  • Perform Third-Party Interface testing.
  • Develop Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) plan.
  • Develop Hardware-Software Integration plan.
  • Perform integrated testing between software & hardware.
  • Perform FAT with customer.
  • Develop As Built documentation.
  • Develop Site Acceptance Test (SAT) plan.
  • Perform SAT at customer location.
  • Conduct loop checks at site.
  • Support Startup & Commissioning activities.

Accreditations, Certifications Or Affiliations

  • TUV Certified Safety Engineer, CFSP/CFSE would be an added advantage.

Quality Control & Assurance

  • Implement EEEC IMS processes/documentation as required throughout the project.
  • Adhere to WA quality requirements and customer’s regulatory guidelines.
  • Practice and promote a First-time-right approach.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) rigorously.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional duties as requested by the business, which may be strategic or aligned with your qualifications and experience, under mentorship of a supervisor.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in safety instrumented systems, process control, and automation, preferably in Oil & Gas, Refineries, Chemical, or Petrochemical projects. Experience with SIS design (ESD, FGS, BMS) in engineering is desired.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electronics & Telecommunication.
