Job summary

Brose is seeking an experienced FEA engineer in Pune to perform crash and static analyses of seat components and entire seat systems. You will build and refine FE models using ANSA and LS-Dyna, manage material properties, connections, and mesh quality, and deliver detailed analytical reports.

The role requires ~8 years in FEA with 5+ years in automotive Complete Seats calculations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to plan tasks effectively and share knowledge with the broader team.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Mechanical/Production from a reputed university, first-class academic record.
• Total FEA experience around 8 years, 5+ years in automotive Complete Seats calculations.
• Proficiency in shell meshing of BIW and plastic parts using ANSA/Hypermesh; LS-Dyna deck prep and post processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform crash and static analyses of Seat Components and Seat System using ANSA and LS-Dyna.
• Mesh, material, sets, connections updates; build FE models per Brose guidelines and run analyses.
• Post-process results, prepare reports, and communicate progress to team leads.
• Document lessons learned and share knowledge with team globally.

Your tasks

• Crash and Static analysis of ‘Seat Components’ and ‘Complete Seats’: Using ANSA software as pre-processor build FEA assemblies of Seat system in LS-Dyna deck profile for mechanism level and full Complete Seats level analysis.
• Sub tasks include: Meshing, Weld & Bolt connections, Material update, Sets and contact update, penetration removal, loadcase setup, zero ms check run, loadcase calculation (static/dynamic strength in Dyna), checklist update, postprocess & report preparation, and deliver file to senior colleagues in Pune / Global counterpart.
• Crash and Static analysis of ‘Seat Components’ and ‘Seat System’: Study the input work content, estimate the effort hours and prepare execution plan. Perform meshing, material, sets, connections update as per Brose standard practices. Build FE models of systems and subsystems using ANSA as per Brose modeling guidelines. Check the file as per checklists, perform calculation. Post process results and prepare report.
• General: Communicate to the team lead and counterparts about project progress in a timely manner. Document the lessons learnt in projects and do knowledge sharing on regular basis. Provide very clear and prior information to the team lead about extended time lines, leaves, etc.

Your Profile

• BE/BTech OR ME/MTech in Mechanical/Production or other engineering discipline from a reputed university. Must have a first class career track record in academics. No gaps in Education.
• Total FEA experience of around 8 years. FEA experience in automotive Complete Seats calculation 5+ years.
• Technical Skills: Expert in shell meshing of Sheet-Metal ( BIW - Body In White ) and Plastic parts using ANSA/Hypermesh. Experience in module-build up (Penetration clearing, Material & Property assigning, Bolt, Weld, Joints, etc) using ANSA/Hypermesh. Expertise in LS-Dyna deck preparation and debug for Complete Seat load cases. Expertise in post processing and report preparation.
• General Skills: Very good analytical skills. Ability to learn new things. Good in Engineering Basics – Strength of Materials used in Seats, Engineering Mechanics, Machine Design. Must possess the skill of task planning and time management.
