Location: Chennai / On-site
Employment: Full-Time
About the Role
We are developing next-generation medical training simulators. As a Simulation Engineer, you'll build immersive VR/AR/XR training modules, integrate real-time data from physical devices, and create high-fidelity 3D medical models. Your work will bring the hardware and software together into a seamless simulation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop simulation applications in Unity (C#) or Unreal Engine (C++).
- Create interactive VR/AR/XR experiences for medical training.
- Integrate data streams from external devices (USB, BLE, UWB, sensors).
- Work with medical consultants to design realistic training scenarios.
- Implement physics-based interactions (needle insertion, plunger resistance, tissue layers).
- Build pipelines for 3D anatomical models (from CT, MRI, or DICOM data).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure low-latency, real-time performance.
- Optimize rendering and performance for VR headsets & AR devices (Meta Quest, HoloLens, etc.).
- Add assessment features (scoring, guidance overlays, analytics dashboards).
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Unity (C#) or Unreal Engine (C++).
- Hands‑on with VR/AR/XR development (OpenXR, Oculus SDK, ARKit/ARCore, HoloLens).
- Proficiency in 3D graphics, shaders, and real‑time rendering.
- Familiarity with device integration (USB HID, BLE APIs, plugin development).
- Understanding of physics engines for interactive simulations.
- Experience with 3D model pipelines (Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, or medical datasets).
- Experience in haptics & force‑feedback integration.
- Multi‑platform deployment (PC VR, standalone VR, AR glasses).
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge of DICOM datasets & medical imaging visualization.
- Familiarity with cloud‑connected simulation or LMS integration.
- Exposure to machine learning in XR (gesture tracking, anatomy recognition).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Game Development, XR/VR, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years in simulation/game/XR development.
- Portfolio of VR/AR/XR projects (preferably medical/educational).
Why Join Us?
- Build cutting‑edge VR/AR simulators for medical education.
- Work with real hardware devices (sensors, probes, smart syringes).
- Collaborate with doctors, engineers, and designers.
- Push the limits of XR + real‑world device integration.
