Role Description
Simplilearn is looking to Director - Commercial Marketing (Demand Generation) to support the growth objectives of Commercial function through demand generation globally.
Key responsibilities include
Global Demand Generation
Define and own the global demand generation strategy across:
- Events and executive roundtables
- Webinars and virtual programs
- Email and nurture journeys
Digital and performance campaigns
- Translate business goals and product priorities into region‑wise demand plans
- Ensure consistency in GTM approach while enabling regional customization
- Own annual and quarterly demand generation plans, budgets, and forecasts
SDR & Outbound Motion Ownership
- Own the outbound demand channel through the SDR Lead
- Define outbound strategy aligned to ICPs, accounts, and regional priorities
Ensure tight alignment between:
- SDR outreach and campaign themes
- Events/webinars and outbound follow‑ups
- Sales account plans and coverage models
Set and track SDR metrics
- Meetings booked
- Pipeline influenced
- Conversion rates by segment and region
Funnel, Pipeline & Revenue Accountability
- Build scalable processes, playbooks, and best practices for the team and drive operating cadence through regular pipeline and campaign reviews
- Own top and mid‑funnel performance globally (MQL, SQL)
- Work with Sales and RevOps to define lead qualification criteria
SLAs and handoff processes
- Attribution and reporting models
- Present clear pipeline, ROI, and forecast insights to senior leadership
- Use data to continuously optimize channel mix, spend, and team focus
- Ability to work with tools – Salesforce to create reports and dashboards
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing demand generation team across regions
- Set clear goals, KPIs, for Regional Marketing Managers and the SDR Lead
Stakeholders
- Executives – CRO, CEO
- Product Marketing – messaging, ICPs, campaigns, and launches
- Sales Leadership – targets, coverage, pipeline priorities
- RevOps – tooling, automation, analytics
Desired skills
- Overall 10+ years of experience across demand generation with at least 5+ years of experience of handling teams
- Experience of demand generation in product‑based organizations
- Ability to independently work with multiple stakeholders across the organization
- Detail‑oriented and strong analytical skills
- Strong program management and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with strong bias for action, high on ownership and problem solving
- Team management is essential
- Experience in online learning / enterprise learning (good to have)
