Job summary

EY’s GDS Assurance Digital team seeks an experienced Senior Power Apps & SharePoint Developer to design and deliver scalable Microsoft 365 solutions. You will lead architecture discussions, develop custom SPFx components and implement Power Automate workflows integrated with Power Apps and SharePoint Online.

You will collaborate with audit teams, leverage Azure and REST APIs, and mentor teammates while adhering to EY standards and SDLC/Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field with industry experience.
• 5+ years of SharePoint development experience, including SharePoint Online and SPFx.
• Strong skills in Power Apps, Power Automate and the Power Platform.
• Web tech proficiency: React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience designing scalable Power Apps/SharePoint solutions and leading design sessions.
• Azure, REST APIs and data source integration experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design sessions and architect solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop custom web parts and extensions using SPFx, React, TS and web tech.
• Implement complex Power Automate workflows integrated with Power Apps and SharePoint.
• Ensure seamless integration with Microsoft 365 services and third-party systems.
• Guide project teams, provide documentation, training and support.
• Stay updated on Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint trends.

Position Details

EY’s GDS Assurance Digital team’s mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our audit clients and engagement teams. As a member of EY’s core Assurance practice, you’ll develop a deep Audit related technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills. Ever-increasing regulations require audit departments to gather, organize and analyses more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization. Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company. EY's GDS Assurance Digital team members work side-by-side with the firm's partners, clients and audit technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value-add, improve efficiencies and enable our clients with disruptive and market leading tools supporting Assurance. GDS Assurance Digital provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support to the global Assurance service line both on a pro-active basis and in response to specific requests.

Requirements (including Experience, Skills And Additional Qualifications)

• A bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech/MCA & MBA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field with adequate industry experience.

Technical Skills Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SharePoint development, including experience with SharePoint Online and SPFx.
• Strong experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and the broader Power Platform.
• Proficiency in web development technologies, including React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Design and develop robust, scalable Power Apps and SharePoint Online solutions using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and other modern development practices.
• Lead the technical design sessions, architecting solutions that fulfill business requirements while aligning with EY's technology standards and best practices.
• Develop custom web parts, extensions, and applications using SPFx, React, TypeScript, and other modern web technologies.
• Implement complex workflows and business processes using Power Automate and integrate them with Power Apps and SharePoint Online.
• Ensure seamless integration of Power Apps and SharePoint solutions with other Microsoft 365 services and third-party systems.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance and support to project teams, stakeholders, and end-users, including documentation, training, and troubleshooting.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint technologies to drive innovation and thought leadership within EY.
• Experience with Azure services, REST APIs, and external data sources integration.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Good To Have Skills

• Microsoft certifications in Power Platform and/or SharePoint.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph API.
• Knowledge of SharePoint PnP (Patterns and Practices).
• Prior consulting experience or experience working in a professional services firm.

Additional skills requirements:

• The expectations are that a Senior will be able to maintain long-term client relationships and network and cultivate business development opportunities
• Provide high quality client services by directing daily progress of engagement work, informing engagement manager of engagement status, and managing staff performance.
• Must have presentation skills ' ability to create PowerPoint deck to communicate solution architecture to various stakeholders.
