Job summary

Takeda in Bengaluru's Innovation Capability Center invites you to join as a ServiceNow Software Engineer, leading design, development, configuration, and customization of ServiceNow applications to deliver new functionality across the lifecycle.

You will act as a ServiceNow SME focusing on SecOps and GRC, develop Service Catalog items and workflows, collaborate with analysts and stakeholders, and ensure scalable, compliant automation within Takeda’s ITSM and business processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in architecting, designing and developing ServiceNow solutions, especially Integrated Risk Management and SecOps.
• 2+ years of experience with Service Catalog module is a must.
• Strong governance, risk, compliance and security operations knowledge.
• ServiceNow System Administrator certification is required.
• ServiceNow Application Developer certification is preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Develop and customize Service Catalog items, workflows, and integrations using Flow Designer, scripting, and APIs.
• Design scalable solutions for the ServiceNow Service Catalog module.

The Opportunity

As a ServiceNow Software Engineer, you will lead, design, develop, configure, and customize (when necessary) ServiceNow applications and services. You will deliver new functionality across applications, support the entire development lifecycle and assist the platform support with product related incident resolution.

This role positions you as aServiceNow Subject Matter Expert, steering the creation and implementation of automation solutions to optimize Takeda’s IT Service Management processes. With specific emphasis on the ServiceNow SecOps and GRC modules , you will ensure seamless functionality, enhanced operational efficiency, and a user-friendly experience. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Service Catalog items and workflows within Takeda’s ServiceNow platform, leveraging your technical expertise in ServiceNow development practices and a deep understanding of IT Service Management and business process automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Service Catalog items, workflows, and integrations using Generic Workflow, Flow Designer, scripting, and APIs.

• Design and implement scalable solutions focused on the ServiceNow Service Catalog module.

• Develop Service Catalog items, workflows, and customizations using Generic Workflow, Flow Designer, scripting, APIs, etc.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Enhance user experience and implement automation to optimize service delivery.

• Maintain and update Service Catalog offerings to ensure scalability and usability.

• Build and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems to enhance workflow automation.

• Document all configurations, workflows, and processes to ensure clear communication and future scalability.

• Present product demos and technical showcases for stakeholders.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

• Adherence to ServiceNow best practices, Takeda-defined standards, and Agile development schedules.

• Leverage Takeda’s SDLC toolset for efficient development and deployment.

• Drive innovation and optimize Service Catalog functionality to meet evolving business needs.

• Stay updated on ServiceNow advancements, incorporating new features into solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Information technology; or relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in architecting, designing and developing ServiceNow solutions (especially, Integrated Risk Management and SecOps modules).
• 2+ experience with ServiceNow Service Catalog module is a must.
• Strong understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Security Operations processes.
• Strong expertise with ServiceNow platform development, especially Service Catalog, Flow Designer, and scripting languages.
• Proficient in creating Server-side and Client-side scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.
• ServiceNow System Administrator certification (required).
• ServiceNow Application Developer certification (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English (both written and oral).
