Job summary

Generac, a leading energy technology company, seeks an engineer to design, validate, and launch service products from concept through production release. You will develop service BOMs using reliability methods, create CAD models, and collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, design, field technicians, and training teams to improve lifecycle costs and service efficiency.

The role requires 1 year of relevant experience, strong CAD skills (Creo/SolidWorks), and excellent communication abilities,

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant work experience in engineering or product development.
• Strong CAD/CAE exposure and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate technical details for cross-functional audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and launch service products from concept through production release.
• Develop and evaluate service Bills of Materials using reliability methodologies (FMECA, RCM, MTA, FTA, LORA).
• Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Interface with cross-functional internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical support for assigned projects.
• Define and document precise service functional requirements; support design, test, and validation activities to evaluate design effectiveness, cost, reliability, maintainability, and safety.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, product design, field technicians, and training teams to improve service efficiency and lifecycle costs.
• Utilize CAD and CAE tools to develop service designs and produce detailed engineering documentation.

Major Responsibilities

• Design, validate , and launch service products from concept through production release, ensuring alignment with product lifecycle and serviceability objectives .
• Design, develop, execute, and evaluate service Bills of Material using advanced reliability and serviceability methodologies such as FMECA, RCM, MTA, FTA, and LORA to optimize service solutions and lifecycle support.
• Creating and maintaining CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Interfacing with cross - functional internal stakeholders
• Providing technical support for assigned projects
• Define and document precise service functional requirements; support design, test, and validation activities to evaluate overall design effectiveness, cost (including cost/benefit analysis), reliability (risk analysis), maintainability, and safety.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing , product design, product specialists, field technicians, and training teams to improve service efficiency, reduce lifecycle costs, and enhance overall customer value.
• Utilize CAD (Computer - Aided Design) and CAE (Computer - Aided Engineering) tools to develop service designs and produce detailed engineering documentation.
