Job Description

The Service Engineer will be responsible for executing field service activities at customer locations, including commissioning, inspection, and repair of mechanical seals used in pumps, mixers, compressors, and other rotating machinery. The candidate must possess strong mechanical skills, the ability to analyze technical problems, and the willingness to travel for service assignments. This role is essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and improving product performance through feedback and service excellence.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, and service mechanical seals at customer sites.

Diagnose and resolve sealing issues such as leakage, wear, vibration, or misalignment.

Perform preventive maintenance checks and routine inspections on sealing systems.

Prepare detailed service reports and documentation after each visit.

Provide technical guidance and training to customer teams on proper sealing system handling.

Coordinate with internal engineering, design, and production teams for technical support and feedback.

Follow all safety guidelines and customer site protocols while performing service work.

Travel to customer facilities as required for service, repair, and support.

Skill Requirements

Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience with mechanical seals, pumps, or rotating equipment is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently at customer sites.
