Job summary

Geekonomy Technology Private Limited is offering an SEO Strategist Intern role in Bengaluru, with in-office work and exposure to live SEO projects. You will work across technical SEO, content strategy, keyword research, and AI search optimization, learning from experienced marketers.

You will assist in keyword research, on-page optimization, audits, and performance tracking while developing foundational skills in analytics and content strategy within a fast-paced growth environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Marketing, Business, Communications.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing concepts.
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or SEO tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in keyword research and competitor analysis.
• Support on-page SEO activities including meta tags, content optimization, internal linking, and URL structuring.
• Conduct website audits to identify SEO opportunities and technical issues.
• Monitor website performance using SEO and analytics tools.
• Assist in creating SEO-focused content briefs and optimization recommendations.
• Track keyword rankings, traffic performance, and SEO KPIs.
• Research industry trends, search algorithm updates, and best practices.
• Support backlink research and off-page SEO initiatives.
• Prepare periodic SEO performance reports.

As an SEO Strategist Intern at Geekonomy, you’ll work on real-world SEO projects across technical SEO, content strategy, keyword research, and AI search optimization. You’ll help uncover growth opportunities, analyze website performance, and contribute to strategies that improve organic visibility. Working alongside experienced marketers and strategists, you’ll gain hands‑on exposure to modern search ecosystems, from Google rankings to AI‑driven discovery. Skills & Competencies:

• Understanding of keyword research tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
• Basic knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms.
• Familiarity with content marketing and blogging.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and website structure is an advantage.
