Job summary

Recooty in Jabalpur is offering an AI-native SEO/AEO/GEO internship. You’ll work on real content for a global SaaS product from day one, focusing on on-page SEO, keyword research, and content optimization.

This 3-month role offers a stipend and a PPO to join full-time based on performance. You’ll learn GEO and AEO strategies and gain hands-on experience with an AI-search playbook.

Responsibilities

• Support on-page SEO: meta tags, headings, internal linking, and content structure
• Conduct keyword research and identify content gaps against competitors
• Optimize blog content for AI citation: direct-answer openings, question-format headers, FAQ sections, and structured data
• Research how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews answer queries in the hiring and HR tech space, and find opportunities for Recooty to get cited
• Track rankings, AI mentions, and organic traffic using Google Search Console and Analytics
• Assist with internal linking audits and content refresh plans for existing blog posts
• Monitor SEO health: indexing issues, duplicate content, and technical fixes
• Compile weekly reports on what's working, what's not, and why

About the Internship

We're looking for a curious, AI-native SEO/AEO/GEO Intern to help grow Recooty's visibility across both traditional search engines and AI answer engines. You'll work on real content for a global SaaS product from day one, learning a skill set that most marketers in India haven't caught up to yet. Perform well, and this converts into a full-time role after 3 months.

What You'll Do

• Support on-page SEO: meta tags, headings, internal linking, and content structure
• Conduct keyword research and identify content gaps against competitors
• Optimize blog content for AI citation: direct-answer openings, question-format headers, FAQ sections, and structured data
• Research how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews answer queries in the hiring and HR tech space, and find opportunities for Recooty to get cited
• Track rankings, AI mentions, and organic traffic using Google Search Console and Analytics
• Assist with internal linking audits and content refresh plans for existing blog posts
• Monitor SEO health: indexing issues, duplicate content, and technical fixes

What We're Looking For

• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals: on-page, off-page, and technical
• Genuine curiosity about AI search tools; you already use ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini and notice how they cite sources
• Awareness of featured snippets, People Also Ask, and AI Overviews (AEO concepts)
• Strong written English with good editing instincts
• Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics is a plus
• Comfort with spreadsheets and structured reporting
• Students, recent graduates, or digital marketing course completers based in or willing to relocate to Jabalpur

Bonus Points For

• Any hands-on SEO work: a personal blog, college project, or freelance gig
• Familiarity with schema markup or structured data basics
• Experience with SEO tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, or Ubersuggest
• Having ever asked "why did ChatGPT recommend that brand?" and actually dug into the answer
