Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Zscaler Network Engineer to lead the integration, validation, and deployment of Zscaler solutions. The role bridges security, network engineering, and implementation partners to ensure successful delivery of ZIA, ZPA, and App Connectors across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate has 8–14 years of Network Security experience with hands-on ZIA and ZPA, SAML/SCIM/Entra ID, and extensive SSL inspection knowledge.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years in Network Security or Enterprise Networking with hands-on Zscaler experience.
• Proven ability to design, validate, and deploy ZIA/ZPA architectures.
• Experience with identity integrations (SAML/SCIM/Entra ID) and access policies.
• Strong knowledge of SSL Inspection, DNS, and routing in large networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical integration between network teams and Zscaler partners.
• Review ZIA/ZPA architectures, deployment strategies and validation.
• Coordinate App Connector deployment and cloud connectivity initiatives.
• Validate routing, traffic flows, and connectivity dependencies enterprise-wide.
• Assist in ROI, risk assessments, and governance for security modernization.
• Support migration readiness, POC, pilot deployments and UAT activities.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity, authentication, and access issues.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer - Zscaler (ZIA & ZPA) to lead the integration, validation, and deployment of Zscaler-based security solutions across enterprise environments. This role will serve as the technical bridge between implementation partners, security teams, and network engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of ZIA, ZPA, App Connectors, identity integrations, routing, and cloud connectivity initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Zero Trust security architecture, cloud security, network design, and enterprise security transformation programs.

What You'll Do:

• Act as the technical integration lead between the organization's network team and Zscaler implementation partners.
• Review and validate ZIA architecture, configuration designs, and deployment strategies.
• Review and validate ZPA architecture, application segmentation models, and access requirements.
• Assess and validate App Connector architecture and deployment models.
• Validate routing requirements, network traffic flows, and connectivity dependencies.
• Evaluate identity integration requirements including SAML, SCIM, Entra ID, and Conditional Access policies.
• Coordinate with Zscaler implementation teams to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Validate cloud connectivity requirements across enterprise and cloud-hosted environments.
• Assess integration of Zscaler solutions with SD-WAN and network security platforms.
• Support application onboarding and access validation activities.
• Participate in proof-of-concept, pilot deployments, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Coordinate ZIA SaaS application validation and testing.
• Support ZPA application access validation and migration readiness assessments.
• Assist in rollback planning, validation testing, and deployment governance activities.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity, authentication, and access-related issues.
• Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) and technical governance forums.
• Track technical risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Support migration readiness reviews and ensure deployment compliance with enterprise standards.
• Drive Zero Trust adoption and security modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, network, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 14 years of experience in Network Security, Cloud Security, and Enterprise Network Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Experience designing and implementing App Connectors within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of SSL Inspection, security policies, and secure web access architectures.
• Experience with PAC file configuration and traffic steering methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with GRE and IPsec tunnel implementation and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management technologies including SAML, SCIM, Entra ID, and Conditional Access.
• Solid understanding of DNS, routing protocols, and enterprise network architecture.
• Experience validating integration between Zscaler and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and modern cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with SD-WAN integration and network transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.
• Experience participating in large‑scale migration and transformation programs.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
