Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Workday Developer to join the People Engineering team in Bengaluru. You will design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, and Studio, while extending Workday with custom pages and model objects.

You will configure and support Core HCM, payroll, security, and reporting, ensuring data integrity across global payroll processes and employee lifecycle events.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Workday experience across multiple modules.
• Strong expertise in Workday Integrations, including EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, and APIs.
• Experience developing Workday Extend applications and custom pages.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Develop and enhance Workday Extend applications including custom pages and model objects.
• Configure and support Core HCM including business processes, job profiles, and employee lifecycle events.
• Manage Benefits configurations, eligibility, open enrollment, and vendor integrations.
• Support payroll integrations, banking configurations, and global payroll processes.
• Configure organizational structures including legal entities, cost centers, and supervisory organizations.
• Maintain and audit Workday security roles and access policies.
• Develop advanced reports, dashboards, and complex calculated fields.
• Support biannual Workday releases with testing and implementation enhancements.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Representational State Transfer (REST) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
• Develop and enhance Workday Extend applications, including custom pages, model objects, and embedded business logic
• Configure and support Core Human Capital Management (HCM), including business processes, job profiles, position management, worker data, and employee lifecycle events
• Manage Benefits configurations, including eligibility, open enrollment, life events, carrier feeds, and vendor integrations
• Support payroll integrations, payment elections, banking configurations, and global payroll processes
• Configure organizational structures, including legal entities, companies, cost centers, pay groups, and supervisory organizations
• Maintain and audit Workday security roles, domain policies, and business process security
• Develop advanced reports, dashboards, matrix reports, and complex calculated fields
• Support biannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, testing, implementation, and enhancements
• Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Workday processes, integrations, and engineering practices

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Workday experience across multiple modules
• Strong expertise in Workday Integrations, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
• Experience developing Workday Extend applications, including custom pages, model objects, and application design
• Strong understanding of integration architecture, APIs, and data transformation
• Deep knowledge of Core Human Capital Management (HCM), Benefits, Payroll, Security, and Reporting
• Advanced Workday reporting and calculated field development skills
• Strong understanding of global People and payroll processes
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with globally distributed and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday certifications in Human Capital Management (HCM), Integrations, Extend, Security, Benefits, or related areas
• Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience working within a global enterprise environment
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development teams
• Experience managing Workday releases and structured change control processes
• Experience designing scalable Workday solutions that support complex global business requirements
