Job summary

Siemens Mobility in India invites a Senior Web Developer to design, modernize, and maintain secure, scalable enterprise web applications using legacy ASP.NET and Angular. You will translate requirements into robust technical solutions within our IoT and smart infrastructure initiatives.

Collaborating with architects, product owners, and global teams, you’ll drive code quality, write tests, and participate in CI/CD and deployment automation.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of enterprise web development experience.
• Strong hands-on with legacy ASP.NET technologies and Angular.
• Experience modernizing ASP.NET apps while preserving business continuity.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, OOP, and system design.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and handling large-scale data.
• Familiarity with MQTT, WebSocket, or Pub/Sub event systems.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps; code reviews and SonarQube.
• Awareness of web security and data privacy, and DevOps observability tools.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on with legacy ASP.NET applications, Angular, web application architecture, and modern engineering practices.

Job Description:

What does it take to qualify for this job?

• Master’s/bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from a reputed institute.
• 5–10 years of experience in web application development for enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with legacy ASP.NET technologies and Angular.
• Experience maintaining and modernizing existing ASP.NET web applications while ensuring business continuity and code quality.
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, object-oriented programming, and system design.
• Experience integrating web applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and external systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including handling large-scale and time-series data.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems that use MQTT, WebSocket, or Pub/Sub.
• Knowledge of unit testing, mocking, and test automation frameworks, including end-to-end testing for web applications.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and platform such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience in maintaining code quality through code reviews and tools like SonarQube.
• Understanding of web application security architecture and data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Familiarity with DevOps culture and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in agile, globally distributed teams.
