Job summary

L&T Technology Services in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a validation engineer with strong C/C++ and Python skills to work on virtualization platforms, boot flows, and automotive compute environments. You will validate multi-VM setups, hypervisors, and OS domains across Android/Yocto/FreeRTOS, and contribute to test automation frameworks.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux kernel, drivers, and bootloaders, plus exposure to Xen virtualization, VMs orchestration, and CI pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Linux kernel, hypervisors, drivers, bootloaders, and SoC power states.
• Strong scripting and automation experience in Python and shell.
• Hands-on with virtualization technologies and multi-VM orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Validate virtualization features across Android/Yocto/FreeRTOS environments.
• Perform boot/OS-domain validation and recovery testing in automotive compute platforms.
• Develop and maintain test automation suites for virtualization, boot flows, and IVI features.

Job description

• Virtualization (Xen): Multi VM Validation (Android/Yocto/FreeRTOS), virtio (camera/audio/media/GPU/NPU), passthrough (UART/I2C/SPI), AVIC, QoS.
• Boot Optimization testing with core boot for S3 & S5
• OS Domains: Validation of Safe Linux, SDV AAOS, Yocto, and FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS including graphics workflows, automotive use cases, and IVI related feature validation.
• FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS: Control-domain validation, CRC, safe rendering, crash fallback, mixed criticality flows.
• Graphics/Display: compositor (superframes, gestures, clone, virtual outputs), projection (Android Auto, CarPlay).
• Debug/Recovery: Full stack debug using Unified Debugger, system recovery validation.
• Security: Secure Boot to DomU, validation.

Required Background

• Strong in C/C++, Python, Shell automation.
• Deep experience with Linux kernel, hypervisors, drivers, bootloaders, SoC power states.
