Job summary

Siemens in Pune invites a Validation Engineer to join our mobility team. You will contribute to Verification and Validation at subsystem and system levels for CBTC/ETCS solutions, and help ensure compliance with the V&V plan and applicable standards.

You will review requirements, create validation reports, manage deviations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable railway signaling solutions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EN50126/128/129 and ISO railway standards.
• RAMS and Quality experience is advantageous.
• Tools knowledge: DOOR, ClearQuest, SAP is a must.
• Bachelor of technology degree.

Responsibilities

• Understand CBTC/ETCS technologies and support V&V activities at subsystem and system levels.
• Comply with Verification and Validation Plans and applicable standards (EN50126/28/29, EN50716).
• Execute V&V tasks and generate verification and validation reports.
• Ensure evidence traceability and quality across development stages.
• Review requirements against intended environment and address constraints.
• Capture and classify deviations for Change Management.
• Conduct inspections or reviews across project phases to ensure traceability.

We are looking for a

Validation Engineer

You’ll make a difference by:

The Validation Engineer should possess understanding of CBTC or ETCS technologies and should have supported deliver Verification and Validation activities at Subsystem & System level Verification and Validation in at least in one Subsystem or more than one subsystem is preferable

• Shall have good system level understanding of functionalities of ETCS & CBTC Solutions
• Should be able to understand Verification and Validation Plan, V&V strategy, process with Applicable Standards like EN50126, EN50128 & EN50129, EN50716 etc.
• Shall be able to understand the essential tasks and activities for System and (sub)-system verification & validation and able to execute the activities with understanding the objective and creating verification and validation reports.
• check completeness, consistency, correctness, relevance, and traceability of the documented evidence from review, integration, and testing with the specified verification objectives
• Should understand test Specifications and correct traceability, compliance to Sub-System level functionalities and testing them in Simulation environment (LAB) for Inhouse validation activities
• Shall review requirements against the intended environment/use and indicate any application constraints as appropriate
• shall capture deviations from the Verification and validation plan
• shall review and classify all deviations in terms of risk (impact) and records and submit the deviations to the body responsible for Change Management and decision making
• shall carry out inspections or reviews on the overall project (as instantiations of the generic development process) as appropriate in various phases of development
• shall review and Support Team Lead to analyze that developed solutions are traceable subsystem requirements in case of design change and to validate them and create verification & validation reports

• Should have knowledge about EN50126/128/129 is must
• Should have Knowledge about ISO standards applicable in railway projects.
• Good communication Skills and should be a team player, self-driven and goal oriented.
• Knowledge in RAMS and Quality is preferable
• Tools knowledge (DOOR, ClearQuest, SAP) is a must
• Qualification: Bachelor of technology .
