Overview

Senior UX Designer, Supply Chain by Amazon – Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) and Supply Chain by Amazon (SCA) lead fast-growing, integrated service businesses for Amazon Selling Partners. Our mission is to empower sellers and merchants of all sizes—from small businesses to large enterprises—by providing innovative solutions that streamline supply chain operations, reduce costs, and free up time for them to focus on scaling their businesses. You will be at the forefront of understanding seller needs and crafting seamless, user-centric experiences across platforms and touchpoints, working with cross-functional teams to empower sellers and drive AWD’s continued success.

Key responsibilities

• Bring forward innovative ideas and solutions to raise the bar on sellers’ experiences in managing inventory, shipments, orders, and distributions.
• Advocate for the customer by gathering and using objective data such as customer insights, market analysis, balancing design with technical constraints and business insights.
• Partner with business and engineering teams to plan and balance immediate changes with long-term, scalable solutions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes to clearly communicate interaction behaviors that support decision making and development.
• Conduct user research to test design concepts, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into design solutions; initiate and prioritize design roadmap based on user research and analytics.
• Present design work to UX partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders.
• Model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in their team and champion user-centered design culture across the organization.

Day in the life

As a Senior UX Designer in the SCA UX team, you’ll work at the intersection of strategy, execution, UX design, and user research. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams, researchers and writers across locations to drive design solutions from concept to implementation, influencing core design decisions while delivering exceptional user experiences.

About the Team

Our AWD UX team is small, Agile, and deeply embedded within AWD, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders daily. We also collaborate with multiple cross-organizational UX teams across Amazon to align on larger initiatives and deliver cohesive, user-centered solutions. We thrive on solving complex challenges and creating seamless experiences for sellers and merchants.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of design experience
• Available online portfolio
• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
• Knowledge of information architecture best practices
• Knowledge of usability principles and techniques
• Experience in qualitative user research

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying Scrum to visual or UX design processes
• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
