Job summary

Barclays in Pune is seeking a Senior UI Developer to design and deliver scalable software that supports banking applications. You will combine Core Java/J2EE with modern UI frameworks like Angular or React, build RESTful services, and ensure secure, high-performance code.

Collaborate with product managers and engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while applying secure coding practices and best design patterns. This role is based in Pune.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Core Java and J2EE with large-scale banking experience.
• Strong UI development with Angular/React and RESTful services.
• Solid understanding of OO design, design patterns, and data modelling.
• Experience with Spring, JavaScript, JDBC and SQL (preferably Oracle).
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend technologies.
• Hands-on experience with JBoss and Hibernate.
• Awareness of secure coding practices and performance tuning.

To be a successful Senior UI Developer, you should have experience with:

• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience of Core Java and J2EE design and development work on large-scale banking applications.
• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience on UI development with a focus on Angular/React JS, React Native.
• Strong webservice development experience using REST
• Strong understanding of OO Designing and Programming Techniques and associated concepts, Data Modelling, Design Patterns
• Good knowledge and experience of Spring, Javascript, JDBC and SQL (preferably Oracle)
• Knowledge of modern frontend technologies, including JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Good working knowledge and hands-on experience of JBoss and Hibernate
• Good logical reasoning, problem solving and performance tuning Skills.
• Minimum Qualification - B.E. / B. Tech or equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
  

Additional Relevant Skills Given Below Are Highly Valued

• Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX-based systems.
• Knowledge of Cloud deployments, docker and kubernetes.
• Good working knowledge and hands-on experience of workflow application and business rules engine.
• Exposure to and familiarity of AWS (Amazon Web Services)
