Job summary

Paxcom in India seeks a Senior UI Developer with hands-on React and TypeScript expertise. This is an individual contributor role focused on delivering production-ready UI features with a strong ownership mindset.

You will work with modern React practices, Redux and Redux Saga, and styling with styled-components or @emotion/styled. Docker and Docker Compose will be used to ensure robust, scalable environments, in collaboration with architects and product teams.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior UI Developer who is a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in React and TypeScript and a strong sense of ownership. This is primarily an individual contributor role, focused on building and delivering production-ready features. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with ambiguous requirements, making independent technical decisions, solving complex problems, and collaborating with architects, product owners, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, maintainable, and production-ready UI features using React and TypeScript.
• Work with modern React practices, including React 19, functional components, and hooks.
• Implement application state management using Redux and Redux Saga.
• Build reusable UI components without relying on third-party UI libraries such as MUI, Ant Design, or Chakra UI.
• Develop styling solutions using styled-components or @emotion/styled, including themes, theme mapping, wrappers, and responsive components.
• Work with react-router-dom and data routing APIs.
• Analyze ambiguous requirements, create POCs when required, and independently develop appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to technical and architectural discussions and evaluate technical trade-offs.
• Build and troubleshoot Dockerfiles and multi-container Docker Compose environments.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, management, and engineering teams.
• Use AI coding assistants effectively while maintaining engineering quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant UI development experience.
• Strong recent hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of modern React practices, preferably React 19.
• Strong experience with Redux and Redux Saga, including Saga capabilities beyond API calls.
• Mandatory experience with react-router-dom data routing APIs.
• Hands-on experience developing reusable UI components without third-party component libraries.
• Strong experience with CSS-in-JS, particularly styled-components or @emotion/styled.
• Experience with custom themes, theme mapping, wrappers, and responsive components.
• Experience working on a single product/application for 12–14+ months.
• Good understanding of software architecture and technical trade-offs.
• Ability to make independent engineering decisions and consider long-term impact.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and decisions.
• Experience with Nx Workspace / monorepositories.
• Experience working in lean, fast-paced engineering environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience building custom AI coding assistant orchestrations, skills, or plugins.
• Hands-on experience with Azure CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
