Job summary

WSP India is seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join the Bridges team at Bengaluru. The role collaborates with the Sweden team and focuses on detailed structural drawings using Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and MicroStation where applicable.

You will lead template development and ensure compliance with WSP CAD/BIM standards. You will work under supervision of the Principal Engineer or Principal BIM Modeler, contributing to template creation, quality checks, and timely delivery for Swedish projects,

Qualifications

• Diploma in CAD or Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in a similar BIM/ CAD role is preferred.
• EngTech registration with ICE, UK or close to attaining it is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural drawings and BIM/CAD deliverables for bridges.
• Maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, and libraries.
• Coordinate with Sweden team and Project Engineer for deadlines.
• Ensure quality control and documentation integrity across drawings.
• Develop automated templates to improve productivity.
• Support BIM workflow standards and project handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural detailed and concept design drawings for various bridges and construction types to be built predominantly in Sweden.
• Responsible for BIM and CAD standards, implementation, and enforcement
• Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards
• Automate routines to support standards and productivity
• Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced
• Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
• Maximizing utilization on projects
• Create Tekla Structures auto and customized connections / Templates in response to project requirements
• Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production through liaison with the Project Engineer and Sweden team

Key Competencies / Skills:

• Cultural awareness, conscientious with an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role.
• High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
• Experience of 3D reinforcement skillset is a must in Tekla Structures - Concrete.
• Knowledge of Revit Software particularly in 3D reinforcement is an added advantage.

Mandatory Skills

• Diploma in CAD or Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience of having worked in a similar role.

Desired Skills

• Competence in Tekla Structures - Concrete/AutoCAD/Cads RC

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in CAD with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• It is desirable that the candidate has obtained professional registration such as EngTech with ICE, UK or close to attaining the same.
