Job summary
GSS Tech Group is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to own the product engineering lifecycle for Linux-based infrastructure products for a leading UAE bank. You will operate within the CTO Technology Chapter and drive automation, standardization and performance improvements across virtualization, containers and cloud platforms.
You will lead DevOps/SRE oriented delivery, collaborate with security and platform teams, and ensure compliant, scalable operations in a regulated banking environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years in infrastructure engineering, systems administration or operations, including 3+ years in a similar senior engineering role.
- Deep Linux internals knowledge, ideally RHEL; exposure to OLVM and OpenShift.
- Strong hands on experience with Ansible, Terraform and Jenkins.
- Solid virtualization experience: KVM, Libvirt, oVirt or OpenShift Virtualization.
- Container platform experience with native Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- CI/CD pipeline experience, including hands on integration work.
- Working knowledge of OS compliance frameworks and hardening (CIS benchmarks or equivalent).
- Experience with repository and artifact tools: Red Hat Satellite, Spacewalk, Nexus
- Hands on configuration of compute, storage and networking on Azure, AWS or OCI
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis for BAU and incidents.

GSS Tech Group is hiring a Senior Technology Engineer for a leading bank in the UAE. You will join the bank’s CTO Technology Chapter and own the product engineering lifecycle for a standard stack of consumable infrastructure products, with Linux as your core strength.
The bank runs a matrix structure. You will report into the Head of Technology Chapter for line management and work with the Compute Technology Platform squad for day to day priorities. You will lead the squad’s deliveries across design, development, implementation, standardization, automation and capacity planning.
This role suits a T shaped engineer: deep in Linux, and able to move across virtualization, containers, automation, CI/CD and public cloud as projects need.
