Job summary

Uplers Solutions Private Limited. is seeking a Sr Technology Architect to lead architecture across geospatial data and location intelligence initiatives.

You will drive AI-enabled engineering practices, modernize distributed platforms, and collaborate with Product, Sales, and customers to shape technology strategy. The role emphasizes Generative AI, AI Agents, RAG, and AWS-centric architectures, with a remote, full-time contract for 12 months.

Qualifications

• UG – B.Tech/B.E. or PG – M.S./M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• Expertise in Java, Python, cloud architectures, microservices, API design, and integration patterns.
• Strong API design for scalable, secure enterprise workloads.
• Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Experience with modern distributed data processing frameworks and AI workloads.
• AWS services expertise (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, RDS/Aurora, Redshift).
• Experience in data governance and modern data platforms.
• Experience designing AI-powered solutions including Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

You will join a team working with next gen technologies on geospatial solutions in order to identify areas for future growth, new customers and new markets in the Geocoding & data integrity space. You will be working on the distributed computing platform in order to migrate existing geospatial datasets creation process-and bring more value to our customers and grow market share.

Your Essential Duties And Responsibilities

You Will:

• Define and drive the technology architecture strategy across multiple investment segments and product portfolios.
• Establish architectural principles, standards, governance processes, and technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure solutions adhere to scalability, security, resiliency, and operational excellence standards.
• Lead the modernization of geospatial, data processing, and enterprise application platforms by leveraging distributed computing, cloud-native technologies, and AI-driven engineering practices.
• Define architecture for large-scale data processing, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions leveraging modern frameworks and cloud services.
• Drive adoption of Generative AI, AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-assisted engineering capabilities to improve productivity and solution quality.
• Evaluate and establish standards for AI development tools including GitHub Copilot, Speckit, Cursor, Claude Code, and similar platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Pre-Sales teams to define technology strategies and support strategic customer engagements.
• Present architecture strategies, product capabilities, and technical solutions to customers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
• Drive proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, and innovation initiatives that improve product capabilities, engineering efficiency, and business outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

You Have:

• UG – B.Tech/B.E. OR PG – M.S. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and enterprise platforms.
• Strong expertise in Java, Python, cloud architectures, microservices, API design, and integration patterns.
• Proven experience designing and operating highly scalable, secure, and resilient APIs supporting enterprise and customer-facing workloads.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, containerization technologies, cloud-native application architectures, and platform engineering practices.
• Experience with DAFT and modern distributed data processing frameworks for large-scale data transformation, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, RDS/Aurora, Redshift, SNS, and related cloud technologies.
• Experience with data engineering, distributed data processing, data governance, and modern data platform architectures.
• Experience designing, integrating, or governing AI-powered solutions including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, and intelligent automation platforms.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted software engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Speckit, Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or equivalent platforms to improve software delivery, architecture design, and engineering productivity.
• Knowledge of AI architecture patterns, prompt engineering, model evaluation, vector databases, AI observability, and responsible AI practices.
• Proven experience driving architecture governance, technology strategy, modernization initiatives, and cross-functional technical leadership.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge on micro services and cloud native framework
• Knowledge of Orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and Temporal
• Experience establishing AI-native software development practices including Spec-Driven Development (SDD), Vibe Coding, AI-assisted code generation, automated testing, and developer productivity frameworks.
• Experience building enterprise AI platforms leveraging Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock or similar frameworks.
• Experience designing Agentic AI solutions, multi‑agent systems, knowledge management platforms, and AI‑driven workflow automation.
• Experience with service mesh technologies, API gateways, event‑driven architectures, streaming platforms (Kafka/Kinesis), and large‑scale distributed systems.
• Knowledge of MLOps, model lifecycle management, AI governance, and deployment of AI workloads in cloud environments.
