Job summary

Embitel Technologies is seeking a (Senior) Software Developer - Cryptography to contribute to HCP5 cryptography and secure communication in an automotive embedded environment. You will craft robust C/C++ components and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Bangalore, India.

Required 8–12 years of experience, strong Linux development skills, and knowledge of cryptography. Familiarity with AUTOSAR and automotive standards is a plus, with growth opportunities in a VW Group-backed unit.

CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E 2.0 for all Group brands. E stands for 'end to end electronics architecture'. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.

Job Description: (Senior) Software Developer - Cryptography

EXP: 8 to 12 years

Role Overview

Contribute to the development and maintenance of HCP5 Cryptography and Secure communication software components, ensuring high-quality, maintainable and efficient C++ solutions in an automotive embedded environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and review features in software modules.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, testers, and DevOps.
• Participate actively in code reviews, defect analysis and fixing, and robustness improvements.

Technical Expertise

• In C and C++ (exposure to C++20)
• Good experience in Linux application development (build, deployment, debugging, runtime behaviour)
• Proficient with Git and GitHub-based workflows (branching, reviews, merge strategies)
• Experience in Linux profiling tool, debugging tools
• Experience in collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
• Familiarity with test-driven development
• Understanding of automotive software requirements
• Knowledge of Cryptography
