Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Customer Service:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams using digital refraction systems and retinal imaging tools.
- Diagnose and manage common visual conditions; provide timely referrals for advanced care when needed.
- Educate customers on vision correction options (glasses, contact lenses) based on lifestyle and prescription.
- Ensure all prescriptions meet regulatory standards and customer satisfaction.
Retail & Tech Enablement:
- Operate and troubleshoot in-store tech tools such as auto-refractors, digital PD measurement devices, and lens recommendation systems.
- Assist customers with frame and lens selection based on prescription, face shape, and style preferences.
- Collaborate with retail staff to ensure a smooth handoff between clinical service and product selection.
Leadership & Operations:
- Train and mentor junior optometrists or optometry assistants in clinical and retail protocols.
- Monitor and maintain clinical compliance, hygiene, and equipment calibration.
- Provide input on store layout or technology use to enhance customer flow and exam experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s / Diploma/ Masters in Optometry (Optom) from a recognized institution.
- Valid optometry license/registration in [insert country/state as applicable].
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience, ideally in a retail optical or high-volume store environment.
- Strong grasp of modern optical technologies (digital phoropters, retinal cameras, EMRs).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-first attitude.

- Familiarity with fashion trends in eyewear and customer behavior.
- Basic knowledge of retail metrics (conversion rate, average transaction value, etc.).
