Allianz Technology invites a DevOps Engineer to drive seamless integration between software development and IT operations. You will optimize Azure and AWS infrastructure, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and automate deployment for microservices and databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

We expect hands-on Kubernetes experience, Linux proficiency, and a strong focus on automation, security, and scalable system design.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with focus on operating applications in a cloud environment (Azure and AWS).
• More than 3 years of experience in Kubernetes and Thorough knowledge of Linux/Unix.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for automating build, test, and deployment of microservices with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure scalable, reliable software delivery.
• Support developers with microservice and database deployments (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and automate infrastructure provisioning.
• Improve automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and performance tuning across Azure and AWS environments.

Description:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a crucial member of our team, responsible for the seamless integration between software development and IT operations. Also, your role will involve managing and optimizing our Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment processes, and contributing automation, continuous delivery, and enhancing system performance, reliability, and scalability of our digital platform.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in Azure and AWS cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub actions, supporting developers with microservice and database (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) deployment and infrastructure automation. You should have a solid technical foundation, a passion for automation, and the ability to work effectively and independently in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

Skillset Required

• Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar roles with focus on operating applications in a cloud environment (Azure and AWS), with more than 3 years of experience in Kubernetes.
  Thorough knowledge of Linux or similar Unix Operating System
• Migration: Nice to have - knowledge regarding migration of services and databases between Azure and AWS.
• CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes (especially in terms of microservices with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases).
• Infrastructure Automation: Proficient in using Terraform, Packer and other IaC tools to automate our infrastructure
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Bash, Groovy, or similar languages for task automation and environment management.
• Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with Dynatrace, or similar tools for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting system performance.
• Security and auditing: Experience in conducting security tests, disaster recovery test and other forms of infrastructure-related audits is a plus.
• AI & GenAI (Nice to have): Exposure to integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into cloud and DevOps workflows — e.g. working with LLM services such as Anthropic Claude or Amazon Bedrock, and agentic frameworks such as AWS Bedrock AgentCore. Practical experience with AI-assisted development and operations tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate scripting, pipeline development, and troubleshooting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related experience.

• Familiarity with basic AI tools is considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge or experience with AI tools will be beneficial.
• Exposure to AI tools, even at a basic level, is a value-add.
• A fundamental grasp of AI tools will be an added benefit.
