Job summary

EY in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Scrum Master to support diverse clients in complex transformations. You will coach the Scrum Team, enable self-organization, and partner with technology, business, and operations to drive delivery across global models.

You will guide agile ceremonies, remove blockers, and contribute to continuous improvement while collaborating with Agile coaches and Scrum Masters to grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Agile projects for BFSI clients, preferably insurance engagements.
• 6–9 years in Agile delivery with sprint execution, backlog management and stakeholder alignment.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello or Smartsheet and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban or SAFe frameworks and servant leadership mindset.
• Excellent oral and written communication and proactive blockers removal.

Responsibilities

• Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers
• Build high performing teams by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
• Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
• Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicate effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team
• Work with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams
• Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
• Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role and demonstrate Servant leadership skills
• Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization
• Facilitate and support all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
• Support delivery in large-scale transformation or managed services environments
• Enable collaboration across cross-functional teams, including technology, business, and operations stakeholders in global delivery models

Education

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience working with clients in the BFSI sector, preferably with exposure to insurance engagements
• Strong 6-9 years of experience in Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience in end-to-end Agile delivery including sprint execution, backlog management, and stakeholder alignment
• Knowledge of one or more industry standard Agile PM tools – Jira or Azure Devops / Trello / Smartsheet / Confluence
• Knowledge of an Agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to identify and remove blockers proactively and drive continuous improvement
• Experience working across cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments
• Flexible to work in US and UK time zones

Good to have

• Experience working with Agile Transformation Project
• Understanding of waterfall methodologies
• JIRA administration and configuration knowledge
• Agile Coaching experience
• Business analysis skill
• Able to perform an Agile maturity assessment
• Exposure to insurance domain processes (claims, policy, billing, underwriting, etc.)
