AJAZ Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a US-based client for a Senior U.S. Tax Manager. You will independently own the tax function from a technical and leadership perspective, guiding a tax team and ensuring high-quality returns and compliance.
You will oversee filings, research, and planning, and drive process improvements to empower the team to operate with minimal day-to-day leadership involvement.
Compensation: ₹25-40 lakh base salary (depending on the skills and experiences) fixed annual compensation + performance-based incentive (Exceptional candidates may be considered outside this range)
AJAZ Solutions is a recruitment agency helping companies hire specialized professionals. We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our US-based clients, a growing tax, accounting, and fractional CFO firm serving business owners and high-income individuals.
The firm provides comprehensive U.S. tax and accounting services, including business and individual tax return preparation and filing, tax planning and tax-saving strategies, financial planning, accounting, and fractional CFO advisory services. Its clients often have complex financial and business structures and expect technically strong, proactive guidance- not simply accurate tax preparation.
We are looking for a senior U.S. Tax Manager who can independently own the firm's tax function from a technical and team-leadership perspective.
This is not simply a tax-review position.
You will lead and develop the tax team, review complex U.S. tax returns, resolve technical questions, manage tax quality and deadlines, oversee workload and capacity, support tax planning and strategy implementation, and continuously improve the firm's tax processes.
The goal is simple: the tax team should be able to operate confidently without depending on senior leadership for routine technical decisions or day-to-day management.
You should be someone who can walk into an established tax team, understand what is happening, identify what is not working, make decisions, coach people, and take ownership.
We are looking for a self-starter and true tax leader, not someone who needs constant technical direction.
You should be comfortable making decisions, answering difficult questions, coaching experienced professionals, holding people accountable, and identifying problems before they become emergencies.
Most importantly, you should be capable of owning the technical side of the tax function with minimal dependence on executive leadership.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to build and lead a high-performing U.S. tax department, not simply review returns.
