  • Support U.S. and international income tax withholding filings by performing analysis/reconciliations, review of government certificates, resolution of supplier questions/issues, etc.
  • Prepare, detail review and support other international indirect tax filings/obligations such as lodging taxes, ensuring timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.

  • Prepare financial journal entries, account reconciliations, subledger reconciliations, etc. in Oracle and supporting systems.
  • Monitor and research U.S. state and local indirect tax legislative and regulatory changes (e.g., sales tax nexus, lodging tax, city/county hotel tax developments) and international indirect tax developments; assess and communicate impact on Expedia Group’s compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate indirect tax data capture and reporting across all relevant platforms and jurisdictions.
  • Support Traveler and Supplier related business processes by providing tax data, resolving issues/questions, and managing documentation.
  • Assist with exemption and withholding tax certificate management requirements and related documentation across applicable U.S. and international jurisdictions.
  • Support controversy and business operations teams through data delivery and reporting.
  • Support indirect tax project work as required, including business advisory, financial reporting, transactional tax data analysis, and tax research and analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the indirect tax compliance function.
  • Use and help enhance tax technology tools (e.g., AI and agentic capabilities, Alteryx, Power BI/Tableau, Power Automate, SharePoint, ERP/Oracle, etc.) to improve data quality, controls, and reporting.
  • Perform self‑review of all work products and ensure timely, accurate compliance deliverables.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or actively working toward attainment is a plus.
  • Additional postgraduate qualifications in tax or accounting are welcome.
