Job summary

Nasdaq, Inc. Bangalore Technology Center seeks a Senior Analyst to develop and implement software solutions within the Nasdaq Trade Surveillance Operations Team. You will work with global colleagues across Sydney, London, and Toronto to ensure reliable production systems and data workflows.

The role focuses on Linux system administration, L2/L3 support, incident resolution, and deployment automation using Puppet, GitLab, and Bitbucket, plus scripting in Bash and Python.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Linux/Unix Environment.
• 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana.
• Configuration management experience with Puppet and Ansible.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash and Python.
• Exposure to Jira and Git/Bitbucket tools.
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
• Good understanding of ITIL methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux system administration and proactive production monitoring.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support and incident resolution within SLAs.
• Handle application deployments using Puppet, GitLab and Bitbucket.
• Develop automation scripts in Bash and Python to streamline tasks.

Job description

This role exists as part of Nasdaq Trade Surveillance Operations Team, to join the Bangalore Technology center. NTS is a web browser based SAAS application powering Surveillance and compliance for over 170+ market participants across over 200+ markets primarily focused on broker trade compliance.

You will be part of global team working closely with teams from Sydney, London, and Toronto. As a Senior analyst, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions.

Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Linux System administration tasks and Linux based troubleshooting. L2/L3 technical support. Troubleshooting and RCA of ALL processing issues. Proactively supervise and resolves the production environment issues with the use of Zabbix as a monitoring tool. Perform BAU activities Which includes: System supervising to ensure availability of all services, server resources. Log monitoring to review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs. Resolution of Incidents and Service Requests following SLAs and ITIL Incident Management Processes. Performing Application Deployments using puppet, Gitlab and bit bucket as per Change Management Processes. Develop and integrate process automation tools using Bash/Python.

We expect you to have: (Minimum Qualifications) Strong background in Linux/Unix Environment. 3-5 Years. Exposure to monitoring tools: Zabbix, Grafana etc. 3- 4 Years. Exposure to Configuration management tools including Puppet, Ansible. 2 -3 Years. Strong scripting knowledge in Bash, Python. Exposure to Jira, GIT/Bitbucket tool. 2-3 years. Exposure to AWS cloud technologies. 2 Years Good understanding of ITIL methodologies
