Job summary

EPAM Systems in India seeks a Senior Systems Engineer with deep Azure DevOps expertise to design scalable, secure cloud-native and AI-enhanced solutions.

You will architect cloud infrastructure on Azure, build CI/CD pipelines, automate with Terraform, Bicep, and ARM, and manage AKS clusters while ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency. Mentoring junior engineers and enabling GenAI integrations will also be part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build out a cloud infrastructure on Azure designed for scalability
• Build sophisticated CI/CD pipelines incorporating automation and quality checkpoints
• Take the lead on automating infrastructure using Terraform, YAML, and ARM
• Oversee AKS clusters along with containerized application workloads
• Fine-tune systems to achieve strong availability, solid performance, and cost efficiency
• Construct backend services built on Azure-native components
• Roll out secure deployments suitable for production environments
• Develop and connect GenAI applications through LLM API integration
• Build backend infrastructure supporting AI-powered applications
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff

Requirements

• Between 5 and 8 years of experience in systems engineering
• Strong command of Azure architecture and implementing advanced CI/CD strategies
• Skilled in automating infrastructure at scale using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM
• Capability deploying and managing Kubernetes (AKS) in production settings
• Solid background in networking, security practices, and identity management (IAM)
• Experience administering both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry and RAG architecture using Cognitive Search or vector database solutions
• Ability to build and integrate GenAI applications leveraging LLM APIs
• Strong capabilities in system design and troubleshooting complex issues
• Demonstrated track record delivering production-grade deployments
