Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in Pune is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer for AUTOSAR-focused development of DRIVE OS software. You will adapt DRIVE OS solutions to various car platforms with different sensors, collaborating with cross-functional teams to evolve AUTOSAR architecture and deliver robust software.

The role emphasizes strong C/C++ programming, scripting in Perl/Python, and deep understanding of HW/SW architectures, OS internals, and AUTOSAR stacks.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting in Perl, Python.
• Experience with large codebases and rapid prototyping/experimentation.
• Understanding of CPU/GPU architecture, OS internals, multi-threading, IPC, memory management.
• Rich AUTOSAR experience with various vendor stacks and MCALs (SPI, PCIe, Ethernet).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Experience with heterogeneous SoCs/camera/imaging/graphics is a big plus.
• Experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR would be a standout.

Responsibilities

• Participate and provide inputs on AUTOSAR Architecture evolution with design choices, tools and methodology.
• Architectural explorations on SW and HW fronts including feasibility studies, prototyping, profiling, safety studies, data analysis and results presentation.
• Influence next-gen HW and SW Architecture and design.
• Drive complex technical issues to closure across cross-teams.

We are looking to hire Senior System Software Engineer – AUTOSAR. Ideal candidate will have very strong programming skills, a good grasp of HW & SW Architectures, a solid exposure to AUTOSAR & related architecture, tools and frameworks.

What you will be doing:

• Participate and provide inputs and recommendation into AUTOSAR Architecture evolution with design choices, tools and methodology
• Architectural explorations on both SW and HW fronts which include feasibility studies, quick prototyping, profiling, safety studies, data analysis and presentation of results
• Influence next‑gen HW architectures and SW Architecture and design
• Drive complex technical issues to closure that may occur interacting with cross-teams

What we need to see:

• BS/MS, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting skills in Perl, Python etc
• Good experience and comfortable working with large codebases and its hacking for quick prototyping/experimentation
• Understanding of CPU/GPU Architecture, data structures, OS internals, multi-threading, inter-process communications, memory management techniques
• Rich Experience with AUTOSAR practice with different vendor AUTOSAR stacks (Vector, EB) tools and methodologies, various MCU HWs and development of MCALs (SPI, PCIe, Eth), CDDs, SWCs
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Proactive and self‑motivated
• Knowledge and Experience in multicore/heterogenous SoCs/camera/imaging/video/graphics/compute system would be big plus
• Experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR and AUTOSAR standard body participation be a definite standout
