Job summary

Scientific Games Technologies India Private Limited is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator in Bengaluru to manage Linux VMs, patching, DNS and storage. The role covers Oracle/PostgreSQL databases and middleware such as WebLogic/JBoss, with on-call support and extensive documentation.

You will operate in a high-security, scalable environment, ensuring change management adherence while enabling continuous delivery across infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with RHEL 7/8/9 administration.
• Ubuntu Server administration knowledge.
• VMware vSphere/ESXi experience.
• Kickstart and automated provisioning experience.
• Red Hat Satellite administration.
• LVM, multipathing, iSCSI and Fibre Channel knowledge.
• DNS, NTP and TCP/IP administration.
• Oracle, PostgreSQL and middleware support experience.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Linux virtual machines on VMware vSphere and Proxmox.
• Manage RHEL patching and subscription lifecycle using Red Hat Satellite.
• Administer DNS (BIND) and NTP (Chrony) services.
• Manage storage (LVM, multipathing, iSCSI, Fibre Channel).
• Support Oracle and PostgreSQL databases and middleware.
• Install and support WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly and middleware platforms.
• Monitor performance, document processes and participate in on-call support.

Position Summary Scope Linux administration, virtualisation, server provisioning, patching, configuration management, storage management, infrastructure services, database platform support, middleware support, monitoring, documentation and operational support.

Job Duties / Key Accountabilities

Authority / Decision Making

Responsible for Linux server operational standards, provisioning, patch management, infrastructure support activities, troubleshooting and adherence to change management processes.
