Job summary

SGS India is seeking a Biostatistician/Statistical Programmer to support clinical research activities. You will monitor and query study data, execute statistical analyses, and prepare statistical reports for sponsors.

Responsibilities include developing analysis plans, validating results, and providing consulting to clients. Advanced SAS programming skills and strong English (C1) are essential, with leadership experience viewed as a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in mathematics, statistics, bio-statistics or related field.

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for providing statistical support in the clinical research, including monitoring and querying data from the database, managing study data, executing the statistical analysis, providing statistical reports, validating statistical analysis. Will also involve in reviewing research protocol drafts and the report draft, and in assisting the statistics manager in the design of appropriate statistical analysis plans and keep track of due dates. Will be responsible to answer sponsors' questions when the statistics manager is not available.

• Develop and program statistical analysis plans
• Perform statistical programming and validation of analyses and data listings
• Present statistical results and prepare reports
• Provide consulting and support to clients
• Enhance and maintain SAS macros for standardized evaluations
• Contribute to the development of innovative process improvements
• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to two team members Ensure full knowledge of, and adherence to, SGS procedures, guidelines, and quality standards.
• Ensures work area in GBS is kept clean and presentable at all times.
• Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures.
• Complies to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures

Preferred candidate profile

• Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Mathematics, (Bio-)Statistics, (Bio-)Informatics, or equivalent)
• Relevant professional experience in clinical studies
• Previous leadership experience is an advantage
• Strong statistical and methodological expertise
• Advanced proficiency in statistical programming using SAS
• Very good English skills (C1 level)
