Job summary

Experian is seeking an experienced Software Architect to own the technical strategy and architecture for enterprise-grade microservices and data pipelines. You will hands-on develop server-side applications using Java (17+), Spring Boot, and reactive programming, while deploying on AWS with Kubernetes and serverless components.

You will lead engineering teams, drive security/compliance, and build robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech/ B.S./M.S./MCA in Computer Science or related fields.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building scalable, distributed cloud systems.
• Hands-on in Java (17+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Programming (Reactor-Core / WebFlux).
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and multi-language backends (Go / GoLang alongside Java).
• Proven experience managing PII, high-frequency transactions, or security-sensitive microservices.
• Experience integrating Generative AI / LLMs via Bedrock or similar pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Actively build, optimize, and maintain server-side applications using Java and related tech.
• Architect and deploy workloads on AWS with Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, Fargate, and related services.
• Provide technical leadership, code and architecture reviews across teams.
• Ensure security, data protection, and regulatory compliance in designs.
• Establish robust CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Report to the Engineering Manager; hybrid work 2 days on-site per week.

Job Description

• Architecture & System Design: Own technical strategy and system architecture for enterprise-grade, high-availability microservices and data pipelines supporting financial, analytics, and fraud platforms.
• Hands-on Development: Actively build, optimize, and maintain server-side applications using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactor-Core), REST/Async APIs, and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, NATS).
• Cloud Platform Operations: Architect and deploy workloads on AWS leveraging Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, Fargate, S3, Aurora, and DynamoDB while optimizing cost and operational efficiency.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and perform code/architecture reviews across multiple engineering teams.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure software designs rigorously adhere to information security standards, PII data protection, and regulatory compliance protocols.
• CI/CD & Operational Excellence: Establish robust continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and enforce high standards for system observability, logging, and performance testing.
• You will report to the Engineering Manager
• This role requires you to WFO 2 days a week as its Hybrid

Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech / B.S. / M.S. / MCA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building scalable, distributed cloud systems, with at least 2+ years leading engineering teams or complex plans.
• Required to have hands on in Java (17+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Programming (Reactor-Core / WebFlux)Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)AWS EKS / Kubernetes, Lambda, ECS / Fargate, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway
• Proven experience managing PII, high-frequency transactions, credit/financial data pipelines, or security-sensitive microservices.
• Integration experience with Generative AI / LLMs via Amazon Bedrock or custom model pipelines.
• Exposure to multi-language backends (e.g., Go / GoLang alongside Java)
• Knowledge of FinTech, identity fraud detection, real-time payment networks, or credit risk analytics
