Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Senior Staff Cloud AI Engineer to design and deliver scalable cloud-native infrastructure within its AI stack. You will influence architecture, drive production-ready features, and mentor engineers across multi-cloud deployments.

You will work with Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, Terraform, and AI tooling while enabling secure APIs and robust data models. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, networking, DevOps and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure or GCP and cloud APIs/SDKs; VPC/VNet, storage and compute.
• Virtualization and container orchestration with Kubernetes, Istio and Docker.
• Automation using Terraform and Helm; configuration with Chef or Puppet.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• RESTful API design and development; SQL/NoSQL data modeling.
• Strong debugging, problem solving, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native infra with focus on reliability.
• Lead design reviews for large-scale distributed systems across multi-cloud deployments.
• Use IaC and automation tools to ensure repeatable, versioned infrastructure changes.
• Develop self-service platforms to boost developer productivity and deployment lifecycles.
• Mentor engineers and enforce engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product partners to deliver end-to-end features and services.
• Build and secure RESTful APIs; ensure data consistency and maintainability.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling for efficient access patterns.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting; improve observability.
• Apply AI/ML technologies, including agentic AI and LLMs in workflows.
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, and resolve production issues.
• Stay current with cloud-native trends and emerging AI/ML capabilities.
