Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Senior Specialist to join our core engineering team in Pune, India. You will design and build scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frameworks, while leveraging AWS to create cloud-native backend applications and serverless components.

You will lead code quality efforts through reviews and automated testing, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural discussions to ensure robust, high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade backend applications.
• Deep understanding of Core Java and OOP principles, design patterns, and multithreading.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, or similar Java frameworks.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Specialist with 3–5 years of experience to join our core engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and secure microservices using Java and modern frameworks.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Leverage AWS native services to build resilient, cloud-native backend applications and serverless components.
• Code Excellence: Drive technical quality through code reviews, automated testing (unit/integration), and adhering to best practices in CI/CD.
• Performance & Scalability: Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and ensure low-latency system reliability under heavy load.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, participate in agile sprint ceremonies, and contribute to system architecture discussions.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade backend applications.
• Java Expertise: Deep understanding of Core Java , Object-Oriented Programming principles, design patterns, and multithreading.
• Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, or similar Java frameworks.
• APIs & Database: Demonstrated experience building RESTful APIs and working with both relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and experience troubleshooting distributed systems.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into applications via APIs, including prompt design, agentic workflows, or Model Context Protocol (MCP) based integrations.
• Understanding of security best practices in AWS (IAM policies, KMS, secret management).
