Job Purpose

The Docgen APIs generate application declaration documents for new policy holders and renewals.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with consuming teams and infrastructure teams.
• Adhere to XP principles and practices.
• Support and troubleshoot issues with the APIs in non-production and production environments.
• Implement, test, and deploy enhancements through non-production and production.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a four-year college.
• Have expertise in the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot for simplified application setup and configuration.
• Have proficiency in unit testing with frameworks like JUnit and knowledge of mocking for ensuring API quality.
• Have familiarity with tools like Postman or similar for manually testing API endpoints.
• Have good knowledge of JSON and experience manipulating JSON for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) using Java frameworks like Jackson.
• Understand REST concepts, HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), and status codes for designing and understanding APIs.

Testing

• Proficiency in unit testing with frameworks like JUnit and knowledge of mocking.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman (or similar) for manually testing API endpoints.
