Job summary

Green Leaf Consultants Kolkata is seeking an experienced Power Platform architect to design end-to-end solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.

You will shape integration patterns, security models and ALM practices, while guiding teams on when to automate with agents and when a conventional app or flow is better.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience designing solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
• Dataverse data modelling and security design: tables, relationships, security roles and access levels.
• Environment and solution strategy: DEV/Test/PROD, solutions as transport units, ALM principles.
• Integration design: REST APIs, JSON, custom connectors, on-prem data gateway, OAuth 2.0 and Entra ID.
• Ability to weigh non-functional requirements and explain trade-offs to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions on the Power Platform backbone and own the landscape.
• Define integration patterns and security models for scalable deployments.
• Guide ALM and lifecycle processes across environments (Dev/Test/Prod).
• Evaluate agent-based automation versus traditional apps where appropriate.

Job description

Years Experience & Knowledge:

5-7+ years of professional IT experience, of which at least 23 years in a solution design or architecture role and at least 23 years hands‑on with the Microsoft Power Platform.

Technical Skills:

Core skills (must have):

• Solid hands‑on experience designing solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse – with a clear understanding of how the components fit together. This remains the backbone of the role: most of the landscape you will own is built this way.
• Dataverse data modelling and security design: tables, relationships, security roles and access levels, and the trade-off between granularity and complexity.
• Environment and solution strategy: separation of Dev, Test and Production, solutions as the transport unit, and the principles of application lifecycle management.
• Integration design: REST APIs, JSON, custom connectors, the on‑premises data gateway, authentication concepts (OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID) and error handling across system boundaries.
• Ability to weigh non‑functional requirements – performance, maintainability, data protection, auditability – and to explain the resulting trade‑offs to a non‑technical audience.

Strongly preferred (agentic AI):

• Conceptual and, ideally, hands‑on command of Copilot Studio: agent scoping, knowledge sources, actions via connectors and flows, testing and monitoring.
• Judgement on autonomy: where an agent may act on its own, where a confirmation step belongs, what must be logged and how a fallback to a human is designed.
• An informed view on when an agent is the wrong answer and a conventional app or flow serves the process better.

Working knowledge / exposure (desirable, will be developed):

• Power Platform Admin Center and the concept behind DLP policies, Managed Environments and tenant‑level governance.
• AI Builder at a conceptual level.
• Automated deployment pipelines (Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) and source control for low‑code artefacts.
• Azure services as an integration option where the platform alone is not sufficient.
• Power Platform Center of Excellence toolkit or comparable governance tooling.

A plus, not expected from every candidate:

• Power BI data modelling: star schema design, separation of dataset and report, refresh concepts and row‑level security.
• Microsoft Fabric exposure.
