Job summary

Metyis is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join the Technology team in Bangalore. Bring 10+ years of experience to lead end-to-end solution architecture across discovery to production readiness, guiding DBT opportunities and enterprise platforms.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Platform teams to define standards, governance, and roadmaps while leveraging cloud-native, API-first, and MACH-based architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms.
• Strong background in software architecture, DDD, SOLID, API-first, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, containerization and cloud deployment.
• Experience with observability tools (Grafana, ELK, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and operational KPIs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional, globally distributed teams and influence technical direction.
• Expertise in MACH-based, headless architectures and SPA/PWA/API-driven digital experiences.
• Track record in delivering enterprise digital commerce solutions and integration ecosystems.
• Experience with Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) with focus on security, scalability and cost optimization.

What you will do

• Understand client business domain and drive Digital Business Transformation (DBT) opportunity.

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across discovery, architecture, estimation, roadmap planning, implementation, and production readiness while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.

• Define architecture standards covering security, scalability, performance, availability, resiliency, observability, maintainability, cost optimization, and operational excellence while balancing business and technical trade-offs.

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Delivery, Data, AI, and Platform teams to define enterprise architecture, engineering standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across multiple engagements.

• Engage with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technology teams to drive strategic technology decisions, architecture governance, platform selection, and solution roadmaps.

• Lead technology consulting engagements with prospects and clients by defining target architectures, transformation roadmaps, implementation strategies, business cases, effort estimation, and investment planning.

• Own technical solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and client presentations, including solution architecture, commercial estimation, delivery approach, staffing models, implementation timelines, and risk assessment.

• Define enterprise technology strategy, modernization roadmaps, cloud adoption, integration architecture, and platform evolution in collaboration with global architecture and engineering leadership.

• Champion modern engineering practices including Agile, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, API-first design, and AI-assisted software development.

• Mentor architects and engineering teams through technical leadership, architecture reviews, knowledge sharing, capability development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support account growth by identifying follow-on opportunities, defining transformation roadmaps, and building long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients.

What you will bring

• 10–15+ years of experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms, distributed systems, and cloud-native solutions, including leading architecture for large transformation programs.

• Strong expertise in software architecture principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, API-first architecture, microservices, event-driven architecture, and integration patterns.

• Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud-native deployment models, and platform engineering.

• Experience designing observability solutions using tools such as Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, and implementing operational KPIs, monitoring, and alerting strategies.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, API management, messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS SNS/SQS), middleware, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional and globally distributed teams in matrix organizations while influencing technical direction without direct authority.

• Experience designing composable, MACH-based, and headless architectures, including Single Page Applications (SPA), Progressive Web Applications (PWA), and API-driven digital experiences.

• Extensive experience delivering enterprise digital commerce solutions, marketplaces, omnichannel platforms, mobile applications, middleware, CMS, cloud platforms, and integration ecosystems.

• Experience with one or more enterprise commerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Adobe Commerce (Magento), HCL Commerce, commercetools, or BigCommerce.

• Strong expertise in cloud architecture across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including security, networking, scalability, resilience, and cost optimization.

• Excellent consulting, stakeholder management, presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business decisions.

  Good to Have:

• Experience with AI/Generative AI technologies and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.

• Architecture or Cloud certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
