AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Soil Management Specialist to lead soil management programs for site assessment, remediation, reclamation, and development across Canada. You will serve as a subject matter expert in soil characterization, handling and regulatory compliance while supporting project teams across industrial, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

The role blends technical leadership, project delivery, and mentorship of staff.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in a relevant subject, with eligibility for professional designation considered an asset.
• Advanced understanding of soil classification, chemistry and quality assessment.
• Strong knowledge of Alberta environmental regulations and environmental site assessment processes.
• Experience with contaminated sites, remediation and reclamation projects.
• Knowledge of excess soil management regulations and beneficial reuse across Canada is an asset.
• Strong technical writing and report review capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Your Role

• Evaluate soil suitability for beneficial reuse, treatment, disposal, and reclamation purposes.
• Develop soil characterization programs and sampling strategies.
• Provide technical oversight of soil movement tracking and documentation programs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and work plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, laboratories, regulators, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Interpret and apply provincial and federal soil management regulations and guidelines.
• Support environmental permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain awareness of emerging soil management requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct technical reviews of reports and deliverables.
• Promote safe work practices and professional development.

About You

• Degree from a program with relevant subject matter. Eligibility for professional designation is considered an asset.
• Advanced understanding of soil classification, soil chemistry, and soil quality assessment.
