HYR Global Source Inc in Chennai seeks an experienced Senior Software Tester with strong hands-on expertise in manual functional testing, regression testing, test case design, ERP application testing, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate will validate enterprise applications, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Manual testing is the primary focus, with automation experience considered a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of software testing experience including manual and functional testing.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining test cases and test scripts.
• ERP applications and regression testing experience.
• Good knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester with strong hands-on expertise in manual functional testing, regression testing, test case design, ERP application testing, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate will have experience validating enterprise applications, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Manual testing is the primary focus of this role, while automation experience is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing for new and existing applications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Validate ERP application functionality and enterprise system integrations.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects to ensure appropriate resolution.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
• Perform data validation and support test data management, test environment setup, and release validation.
• Use Azure DevOps for relevant testing, test case management, and defect-tracking activities.
• Support automated regression testing and CI/CD integration where applicable.
• Identify testing gaps and recommend improvements to software quality processes.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in software testing, including manual and functional testing.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining test cases and test scripts.
• Experience with ERP applications and regression testing.
• Working knowledge of SDLC, software testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing integration.
• Exposure to API testing and performance/load testing tools.
• Experience supporting cloud-based applications, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with enterprise application ecosystems and system integrations.

Candidate Requirements

• Must currently be based in Chennai.
• Must be comfortable with the 12 PM 9 PM IST schedule.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Chennai 3 days per week starting January 2027.
• Immediate availability or joining within 2 weeks of the offer date is strongly preferred.
• Candidates must be comfortable with the stated C2C rate and 5-month contract.
