The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for defining and driving the quality strategy across one or more product teams or programmes. This role provides technical leadership in test planning, automation, release readiness, defect governance, CI/CD quality gates, and continuous improvement of QA practices. The role partners closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and Delivery stakeholders to ensure product quality is measured through clear evidence, risk-based testing, reliable automation, and objective release criteria. The Lead QA Engineer also guides QA Engineers, promotes shift-left quality practices, and helps improve engineering delivery confidence.
