Job summary

NetApp seeks a Senior Back End Developer to join a high-performance team delivering enterprise software. You will build and extend RESTful services, orchestrate VMware vSphere components, and drive robust backend systems used across AI, data, and multicloud workloads.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement unit tests, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and timely delivery. Hybrid work in Bengaluru enables collaboration and focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in development with Java/J2EE software development and Web Technologies.
• 4+ years in developing management software for VMware vSphere Environment and Cloud technologies.
• Experience developing Java RESTful Web Applications, Database, JPA and Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with Cloud storage like Amazon S3, Azure SDK and Google Cloud is preferred.
• Proven track record of working in complex projects and delivering products on schedule.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Excellent testing and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with back-end developer, front-end developer, and QA team to deliver world-class products on schedule.
• Hands-on coding, both developing and extending RESTful APIs and writing client-side code which interacts with other APIs (RESTful and SDKs).
• Designing/developing/maintaining backend software – includes enhancements, bug fixes and POCs.
• Develop complex orchestration capabilities to configure and manage VMware vSphere entities, including VM, Host, Cluster, etc. for DR.
• Design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development.
• Ensuring code quality, troubleshooting bugs, automatization, participating in and leading code reviews.
