Job summary

NetApp’s StorageGRID team in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior SDET to join a performance-focused, cloud storage testing environment. You will drive quality across distributed systems and build scalable test automation for AWS-compatible storage.

You will lead and mentor SDET teams, own end-to-end test strategy, and collaborate with developers to embed quality early, while advancing non-functional testing and continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in software testing/quality engineering.
• Strong system testing and automation experience.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, Linux, AWS, NoSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile, and scalable test frameworks.
• Hands-on performance, concurrency, and reliability testing.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and drive quality initiatives.

Join NetApp’s StorageGRID team, building AWS-compatible object storage powering next-generation AI data lakes. As a Senior SDET, you’ll work with top engineers to drive quality, build scalable test automation, and ensure high-performance cloud storage systems.

What You’ll Do

• Own and drive end-to-end system test strategy
• Build scalable, efficient automation and regression frameworks
• Improve test coverage across complex distributed workflows
• Lead non‑functional testing (performance, reliability, scalability, failover)
• Collaborate with dev teams to embed quality early (shift‑left)
• Drive root‑cause analysis and continuous quality improvements
• Mentor SDET teams and raise the bar on automation and testing practices

What You Bring

• Strong experience in system testing & automation (Python/Ruby/Perl)
• Expertise in distributed systems (APIs, networking, Linux, AWS, NoSQL)
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile, and scalable test frameworks
• Hands‑on in performance, concurrency, and reliability testing
• Ability to lead, mentor, and drive quality initiatives

Nice to Have

• Experience with large‑scale storage or distributed platforms
• Exposure to chaos testing, workload modelling, and AI‑driven testing

Education

• 8–12 years in software testing/quality engineering
• BE/MS in Computer Science or related field
