Job summary

Geminus Tech is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – QA with strong manual testing experience in Storage or Networking. You will plan test scenarios, execute tests, manage defects, and validate features across Linux environments.

Exposure to Python automation is highly preferred, with opportunities to contribute to test frameworks using PyTest or Robot Framework and to collaborate closely with development teams to ensure quality across Kubernetes-enabled infrastructure and cloud-native platforms.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of manual testing experience.
• Strong understanding of STLC and defect life cycle.
• Experience testing Storage (SAN, NAS, RAID, File Systems, Block Storage) or Networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN, Routing, Switching).
• Hands-on with Linux/Unix environments and command-line operations.
• Experience using bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail).
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience in the Storage or Networking domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test planning, execution, defect management, and system-level validation. Exposure to Python automation is highly preferred.

Requirements

Required Skills

• 3–7 years of experience in Manual Testing.
  
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle.
  
• Experience testing products in the Storage (SAN, NAS, RAID, File Systems, Block Storage) or Networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN, Routing, Switching) domain.
  
• Hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix environments and command‑line operations.
  
• Experience using bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
  
• Good debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Python automation for test scripting.
  
• Knowledge of automation frameworks (PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar).
  
• Exposure to API testing and automation.
  
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Jenkins is a plus.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with virtualization (VMware/KVM) or cloud environments.
  
• Knowledge of Storage protocols such as NVMe, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, or NFS/SMB.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
